1. Who is responsible for your information
Orinda Labs LLC, a California limited liability company at 2108 N St, Ste N, Sacramento, CA 95816, USA, is the controller of personal information collected through this website. Contact privacy@orindalabs.com about anything in this policy.
2. Scope — this website only
This policy covers the Orinda Labs website. Raplo Capture, a product of Orinda Labs LLC, has its own privacy policy covering the information processed inside the product, including visitor contact details and conversations captured at events. If you are asking how the product handles captured data, that policy is the one that applies.
3. What this website collects
- What you send us. If you email one of the addresses on this site, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever is in your message.
- Server request logs. Our hosting provider records the IP address, user agent, and requested URL of each request, for security and reliability.
- A theme preference. If you use the light/dark toggle, your choice is stored in your own browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device and we cannot read it.
4. What this website does not do
This site runs no third-party analytics, no advertising trackers, and no third-party cookies. Fonts are served from this domain, not from a font network. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles.
5. Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, to keep the site secure and available, and to comply with legal obligations. That is the entire list.
6. How long we keep it
We keep email correspondence only as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, and then we delete it. Server logs are retained for the period set by our hosting provider.
7. Who else sees it
Our hosting and email providers process this information on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions. We disclose information to anyone else only where the law requires it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict our use of your personal information, to obtain a copy of it, and to object to certain processing. California residents have specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, to delete, to correct, and to be free from discrimination for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@orindalabs.com. We respond within the period required by applicable law and will not charge you for a reasonable request.
9. Consent is how our products work
Consent is not an afterthought in what we build. In Raplo Capture, a visitor’s contact details and conversation are captured only when that visitor has explicitly consented, and the person the data is about can have it deleted. The same commitment applies to every product we have in development. See our vision page for how that principle shapes the product line.
10. Children
This website is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information through it.
11. Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page.
